Karen Hetzel – President
Karen Hetzel has been owner of Hetzel-Sanfilippo, Inc. since it’s inception and oversees all management functions. Her responsibilities include the supervision of all areas of financial and risk management. This includes payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, contract and change order execution, project cost accounting and union relations just to name a few of the many hats she wears. Karen uses her 20+ years of experience in the construction industry to efficiently and consistently manage all aspects of HSI.
She belongs to the following organizations: Associated Subcontractors Association, American General Contractors Association and the National Association of Women in Construction.
Jeff Hetzel – Executive Project Manager
As Executive Project Manager, Jeff spends most of his time visiting HSI job sites ensuring that each project either meets or exceeds our customers expectations. He takes a personal responsibility for quality, safety and site organization across every HSI project. With his 35+ years of field experience, Jeff skillfully leads the construction teams in meeting both budget and design goals.
Ryan Hetzel – Head Estimator, Project Manager
As project estimator, Ryan assists customers with various pre-construction activities. He not only will provide prompt competitive pricing, he will also present various value engineering ideas along with budgetary pricing and design assistance. When not estimating, Ryan also manages multiple projects ensuring that each one meets budgets, schedules, and quality goals. Ryan attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where he received a Bachelor of Business degree in Production and Operations Management in 2000.
Jason Hetzel – Head Scheduler, Project Manager
Jason has worked for HSI since 1995 doing various jobs from driving truck to running smaller projects after completing his carpenter apprenticeship in 2002. Jason, now Head Scheduler and Project Manager, schedules all HSI manpower for every company project while managing multiple projects of his own. He also spends his time helping with payroll, job tracking, and estimating.
Bryan (BJ) Litz – Project Manager, Estimator
BJ started at HSI at the beginning of 2018 as Project Manager and Estimator. He spends most of his time managing projects making sure each one meets budgets, schedules, and quality requirements and providing prompt and accurate pricing for customers. BJ graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in 2012 with a Bachelors of Science in Building Construction Management as well as a Minor in Business Administration.
Mark Mayenschein – Site Superintendent
Mark runs the day-to-day operations on the construction site as well as quality control, and coordination responsibilities.
